Bowen in the Workplace

Bowen for Back Pain in the Workplace from Total Balance AberdeenWHAT IS THE BOWEN TECHNIQUE?
The Bowen Technique is a gentle, non-invasive, truly holistic therapy which uses rolling moves on key points of the body.

Bowen sessions can be easily adapted for the workplace as there is no need to undress and taster sessions are a great way of introducing stress-relief techniques to your staff. Read on to find out how Bowen could help in your workplace.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE BOWEN TECHNIQUE?

  • Bowen is gentle and works in harmony with your body - there is no forceful manipulation
  • Bowen is suitable for all ages, even babies and children
  • Bowen helps rebalance and detoxify the body
  • Bowen helps improve circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • Bowen helps improve nutrient absorption
  • Bowen helps improve mobility
  • Bowen helps address imbalances in the body on both emotional and physical levels
  • Bowen can help many conditions, even long standing cases. Substantial relief can be achieved after just one session

Although Bowen can be wonderful for helping with the impact on the body of many conditions, many of my clients choose to have Bowen treatments because they enjoy the benefit of relaxation and improved well-being. You don't need to be unwell to enjoy a treatment!

HOW DOES BOWEN WORK?
Bowen can be used to release areas of tension within the body. Bowen triggers the self-healing mechanism; releasing energy blockages, old patterns of trauma and stored toxins, creating a feeling of improved well-being.
Each move sends a message to the brain, via the intricate fascial network (the sheet of connective tissue which surrounds the organs, muscles and other body tissues), allowing the body to release adaptations and restrictions and regain its natural harmonious state.

BOWEN TECHNIQUE TASTER SESSIONS  from Total Balance

WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY BOWEN SESSION?
A treatment can be performed through lightweight clothing. Clients will usually lie down and relax on the treatment couch and are covered to keep warm. Seated treatments can be performed if necessary.
Sequences of moves are made on the body, with short gaps in between to allow the the body to absorb these moves and begin to reset itself. Some clients report sensations such as heaviness, tingling, waves of movement, warmth or coolness. Some clients feel lots of things happening, some feel nothing at all during the work, merely enjoying the relaxation the treatment brings

Each taster session lasts approximately 25 minutes and costs £35 per person.
A maximum of 8 sessions will be conducted on one day, with a minimum of 6 sessions.
This is the perfect opportunity for your staff to give the Bowen Technique a try!

PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS
All that is required is a quiet room with enough space for a treatment couch and of course, some clients. I will provide the equipment, information sheets and any posters.
Your staff would be given an appointment time during the day and unless they are suffering from a serious illness (of which you would need to inform me) there are very few reasons why anyone should not any receive Bowen.
Everyone will need to complete a consultation form for the taster. Making an appointment assumes that they have read the above information and they give their consent for treatment.
